Funding Opportunities

Accessibility Fund
The Services and Activities (S&A) has graciously granted funding for the 2022-2023 academic year to support registered student organizations (RSOs) and other WSU-led events and programs in advancing accessibility. This fund allows for Registered Student Organizations and other WSU entities to request funding to increase accessibility at events and programs at WSU Pullman. These may include, but are not limited to: American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters, closed captioning, or a more accessible room location.

ASWSU Crimson and Gray fund
The Crimson and Gray Fund has funding opportunities for WSU Pullman Clubs & Organizations. The Crimson and Gray Fund Application is available on Coug Presence and includes information and rules on how funding can be secured and used. Funding is decided on by a committee comprised of WSU Students and professional staff from the Center for Student Organizations and Leadership. Applications are due 30 days prior to the event or when funds are needed and will be reviewed within 2 weeks of submission. For more information please email ASWSU.Crimson.Gray@wsu.edu.

Collaborate with Local Businesses or other RSOs
When planning an event or activity on campus, RSOs can seek out local businesses or other interested organizations to collaborate, partner with, or sponsor their event.
Perhaps a similar RSO partners with your group and covers the venue cost in exchange for artistic or logistical input regarding the event. Maybe a local business sponsors your group’s event, donating some money in exchange for putting their logo on your event’s advertisements. There are many financial possibilities and opportunities available when collaborating or working with others in the community.

Concessions Fundraising
Registered Student Organizations can help with concessions during the football and basketball seasons. There are concession stands that require 10 people, up to 30 people. There is a minimum guarantee of $250 for small stand or $500 for a large stand. The groups get paid 10-11% net sales or the minimum guarantee, whichever is higher. Coug Parents Fund
Are you a Registered Student Organization, looking to host an event or program this year that may need some additional financial support? If so, please consider applying for the CougParents Fund. If you have questions about the application or the application process, please email Student.Affairs@wsu.edu.
The application period has closed for the 2022-2023 academic year. Stay on the lookout for it to reopen in September of 2023!

The WSU CougParents Program supports new and innovative programs and services that directly contribute to the transformative student experience - enhancing the learning, leadership, and life of WSU students outside of the classroom, at all WSU campus locations. The CougParents Program is made possible by generous support from contributing parents, guardians, family members, alumni, and friends. WSU CougParents Program funds are awarded annually based on need, the number of students served, educational benefits derived, and funds available from our donors. Funds are allocated by members of the WSU CougParents Advisory Board.

Eligibility
For the 2022-2023 academic year, the amount of funding available is limited. We are currently limiting the eligible applicants to Registered Student Organizations (RSO) in good standing.
Past and future funding has/may go to WSU academic colleges, units, programs, or WSU student services unit, program or office.
Application Requirements
Applications will be considered if all the following terms are met:
- Submit the application by the deadline listed above.
- Complete the CougParents Fund application and budget template (included in the application).
- Hold your event or program during the 2022-2023 academic calendar year, by no later than Friday, April 28, 2023. The fund does not currently support programs that only occur in the summer.

GPSA Affiliate Funding
GPSA Affiliate Funding is available to graduate or professional RSOs to promote the interests of the constituents of GPSA. Funding periods are hosted during both fall and spring semesters. For more information, visit the GPSA website.

SEB Arts Grant
The Student Entertainment Board Arts Committee under Student Involvement offers an Arts Sponsorship Program for WSU Pullman RSOs. $5,000 t0 $10,000 is awarded each year, in hopes of sustaining the creative community at WSU.

Student Advertising Fund
This fund supports WSU Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) each year through advertising grants. These funds are contributed by the Student Services & Activities Committee and the Daily Evergreen for a total of $20,000, of which $10,000 will be allocated each academic semester. Awarded funds are for event advertisement in the Daily Evergreen.
Financial Accounts for Student Organizations
While Registered Student Organizations are not permitted to have private bank accounts, they do qualify for student organization accounts on campus. The following benefits of your student organization account include: no individual tax consequences, the daily balance is always available, detailed financial statements can be emailed to you monthly, and a check issuance turnaround time of approximately one day.
